The American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) was established
as an umbrella organization for all future funds and projects, with a
single group of trustees having responsibility for all activities.
The Canadian Academy of Floral Art was formed to
recognize and honour the artistic talents of Canadian Floral Designers
as an art form. Membership is only available by successfully completing
a rigorous two-phase examination process. All members are permitted and
encouraged to add the initials CAFA following their name. The Canadian
Academy of Floral Art is proud to recognize and promote the artistic
talents of Canadian Floral Designers to the public and to the floral
industry.
The Society of Floristry with an aspiration to
reach for the highest of standards in professional floristry The
Society of Floristry Limited was founded in 1951. Moving into the
twenty-first century Society continues to flourish, gathering momentum
in an ever changing and competitive world, retaining its special
qualities and its emphasis on excellence in workmanship but also
expanding in response to exciting professional growth.
Association
of Irish Floral Artists (AOIFA) Founded in 1973 the association is
the official organisation of the floral art movement in Ireland. The
initial membership of just twelve clubs has grown to 105 and embraces
all areas of the country from Donegal to Cork to Galway to Dublin.
Nippon
Flower Designers' Association (NFD) was founded in 1967 and is a
national organization that has about 38,000 flower designers as
members. We propose a rich and peaceful lifestyle brought about by
flowers, and we spread and enlighten variegated flower designs.
The West Australian Floral Art Society Inc meets
to cultivate an appreciation of flowers and floral design and further
develop the skills of creative floral design among its members by
friendly competition at its meetings, with monthly demonstrations and
periodic workshops. These meetings are designed to foster a friendly
atmosphere, to enjoy the beauty of flowers and admire the creative
talents of members.
Flower arranging clubs and societies banded together as the National Association
of Flower Arrangement Societies in 1959. The Association has since
been a unifying and guiding mainstay to thousands of men, women and
juniors whose love of flowers has opened up a whole new world of
creativity. In 1984 NAFAS was granted charitable status in recognition
of its education activities. With over 100,000 members, it ranks among
the most notable specialised National Associations.
